Beach Day 5

On (yet another) overcast morning, Gram and I decided to take the kids to the aquarium.  Lucas wanted to stay behind, so the two of us took Olivia, Emma, Ellison, and Marek.  It wasn't easy to get good photos inside with the combination of poor lighting and my sub-par camera.

The aquarium got some new penguins this summer.  Ellison loved hearing about their stories -  two brothers, who the leader was, etc.

Buddy enjoyed the aquarium, but of course did not want to be in one place for too long, and he constantly wanted "out".

Marek thought this was quite fun:

It was cool - we just so happened to be going by this exhibit when we discovered they were about to do something.  3 divers went in the tank, and the lead diver was actually hooked up to a microphone and talked to us and answered questions of the spectators.  Ellison was one of the first ones to raise her hand with a question.  She wondered, "How do they get all the fish inside the tanks?".  Emma asked a question, too. :-)

In the afternoon, we headed down to the beach to meet up with the rest of the gang.

Right next to us, a kid caught a baby shark.  The dad had no idea what to do, so it was good Josh and Jonathan went over out of curiousity.  The kids went, too.  The parents didn't have their cameras, so Jonathan came to the rescue, then emailed it to them. :-)
