Grandma getting Bubba to sleep for a morning snooze (since he was sleeping TERRIBLE by this point!). The first two nights at the beach, he amazingly slept well in the Pack 'N Play, which was a shocker since he started having trouble sleeping through the night about 1-2 weeks before we left for the beach. Anyways, but come the 3rd night, it was all over. He woke up screaming several times, and after a couple of hell nights like that, I would put him in bed with me (Jonathan couldn't sleep in the same room, so he slept on the couch or in a chair), which I have never done with him a day in his life. It wasn't smooth, let me tell ya. Sometimes we couldn't even get him back to sleep after 5am. Daddy would come relieve me, and I would go upstairs to sleep a little longer on the couch, then. Poor Daddy fell down the entire flight of hardwood stairs early the one morning trying to bring in some Cheerios and milk for a very early breakfast for him since the whole house was still asleep. He's still having pain from that fall to this day, as I write this. Our beach trip was fun, and we didn't want it to end, but it was the one thing I was looking forward to the rest of the week - having him sleep in his own bed again, and praying that would "reset" him. OK, so anyways, Grandma sent us down to the beach for a little break, and said she would stay up at the house while he napped. He fell asleep on her while she was swaying with him, and singing softly in his ear. So precious.
Can't believe the weather. Thankfully it stayed warm, so we were comfy on the beach, but sheesh. Marek went for a little stroll with Uncle Josh...
I have to say, the waves were incredible that day. They were really quite big - the water was rough. It made for perfect boogie boarding for everyone (and a little more nerves for the mamas).
Mookie, Daddy, and Marek
Marek liked the water. He was always trying to explore everywhere - the sand, the water, and ultimately the steps up to the walkway up to the house. He was never in one place for long, but at least he was content being in the sand and the water.
This little chica is a total water bug! That's all she would do was beg to go down to the beach (if we happened to be in the house), and she would usually only come out long enough to snack or take just a few minutes rest.
The gang (or many of them, at least), riding the surf.
Oh, Pa... We all kept thinking he was having some rust rub off his necklace or something. It was ketchup. And he just left it there. :P
Our camp. Strong work, Jonathan! Every single day.

Love, love, love this pic of my baby:
Aunt Andrea made sure we got a photo of Marek's little footprints this year. Though Jonathan did cut them off a little. Just sayin'.
