Beach Day 3

Emma fed Marek his breakfast, and he didn't even object....

Butters had fun playing blocks with Lucas, too.

Grandma gave Marek a much needed haircut.  She then got to do many more of us.  Poor Gram had to work on her vacation.

Ellison got her signature hair trim.  "Just a tiny bit!"

It was a challenge to entertain Marek in a house that's not kid-proofed.  He is not into toys - only wants to explore, get into adult toys and electronics, and climb.  After running out of ideas, Gram suggested we let him play in the sink.  He loved it.

Ellison dancing around with Uncle Jeff...

... and Uncle Josh, too...

Mookie was making silly faces at Marek while Emma was holding him...

The birthday girl - 34 years young!

Grandma often had the magic touch with Butter.  He fell asleep on her a few times.  Ellison wanted to get in on the photo, too, and crawled up on Gram pretending she was asleep. :-)

Isn't that cute - the boys all dressed in blue. :P

We had spent the day in Beaufort, with a little beach time, too, then we finally had a birthday cake and sang again for Aunt Carrie.  Sounded like a choir of angels, I tell ya.

She told the kids to blow out her candles...

OMGosh, I wondered what all the hootin' and hollerin' was about while we were trying to put Marek to sleep.  Apparently, while many of us made a stop at the Wings store earlier (I'm kinda embarrassed to admit that), my dad found a pair of pants that he thought were a great deal for pajamas.  He showed them to Carrie and Jeff, who thought it was cute that he was actually picking out something apparel-related (my dad does not dress himself.  Ever.  And if he would, we would refuse to go anywhere in public with him.  Ha!), so they just let him be with this spectacular pair of cheap pants.  So dad gets back to the house to put them on for the evening, and he can't believe he can't even get the suckers fastened, they're so tight.  Everyone erupted in laughter when they discover that he picked out WOMEN's capri pants!  He even knew they were capri-length, and kept telling us, "What?!  They're a pair of gauchos!"  We had to given him a little fashion lesson on gauchos vs. capris, and were dumbfounded he didn't think anything of the fact that there were BOWS at the bottom of the capris!  The poor guy couldn't catch a break either when he found that the top he bought to wear with his "PJ's" was even too small.  Oh, Pa...
