The Children's Museum

It has been forever and a day since we went to the Children's Museum, and Marek had never been.  Throughout the past year - maybe longer - Ellison would ask to go there, but it just never was a good time.  So Easter vacation was the perfect opportunity to finally go.

Ellison's first stop is always the stage.  Meanwhile, Marek enjoyed the behind-the-scenes action.  It was a little slice of heaven for him.  Buttons galore.

Ellison was so cute - she was talking aloud as if she really was saying the news.  Never thought she even payed any attention to the news when it was on.  She was a true newscaster. :-)

We had a great time, and Mommy was exhausted.  Thankfully, Marek was happy to have so many new things to explore, so it made skipping around to various areas (for Ellison's sake) fairly easy.  But toward the end my back needed a little break, so I had to have Marek roam free in the fenced-in area for kids under 2. Ellison wanted to continue playing around outside of that area, so we had to settle for her going to an area I could see her while keeping Marek inside the boundaries.  Definitely getting a little trickier having 2 different age groups for my kiddos.  But we had fun.
