Softball Clinic

We had a very busy Saturday.  It started off with me and Marek rushing off to go shopping at a friend's house, while Daddy sold our TV off and took Ellison to the Softball Clinic.  Softball wouldn't officially start until the next day for the first practice, but the "clinic" was highly recommended.  Ellison had fun.  Daddy took some cute little video clips for me.

That's Ellison - the Tiny in the middle, dressed in white.

Waving to Daddy...

Poor Marek ended up skipping his nap (thanks to Mom's shopping spree), then we had to run a bunch of errands.  By the time early afternoon rolled around, he was spent.  He was playing with his "new" little screwdriver, when I walked up to him and asked, "Are you ready to go sleepy night-night?"  He reached his arms up for me, repeating, "Nigh-nigh", and immediately layed his little heady down on my shoulder, all the while still grasping his screwdriver.  Pure heaven.  Daddy happened to be standing right next to the camera.

How precious is that???  Ugh...
Marek now does the same thing every time it's time for bed: you tell him it's time to go sleepy night-night, you pick him up, he snuggles his little head into your shoulder while you sway or rock him for a minute, then after a short while he'll turn toward his crib to be put down.  But, oh, those minutes with him nuzzled into our necks are pure bliss.
After delivering food to Nani Joan (recovering from surgery) and Mr. Bill,  Brandy came over to babysit while Mommy and Daddy went on a little date.  Seriously have no idea when the last time was that we did that - with just the two of us.  We tried out the Mellow Mushroom downtown.  YUMMO!!!  After eating, then hitting a coffee shop, we headed back home.  Had a lovely evening out. :-)
