Ell's First Practice

On a beautiful Sunday evening, the four of us set out for the ball fields at Summerfield Elementary for Ellison's first softball practice.  It was the perfect evening for it, and she was looking very forward to it.

Little Button is the one you can barely see toward the middle of the photo, in the blue long-sleeved top:

Marek loves being anywhere that involves A) being on his bike, and B) being outside.  He would've sat there the whole time content, I think.  I seriously grappled with, "Do I let him out to taste freedom?", knowing full well from that point on it would always be difficult to keep him on the bike whenever we go there.  But there was just so much open space and grass to explore, and it's good exercise.

He is not a big fan of hats, and is always pulling them off...

Sissy, second from left:

And... we have freedom, folks.  He was so completely content wandering around.  My back was killing me by the end.  He would get so far so fast!  It was tough to keep redirecting him.  But we had fun.

Yeah, we know this hat doesn't fit his noggin' anymore.  But it's just so cute - Cousin Lucas used to wear it.

Elli, catching with her "alligator arms".

It was hilarious watching the girls.  They are so darned cute out there!  It will be a very cute and entertaining season.  We hope Ellison enjoys it.
