So fitting for St. Patty's Day, Ellison's class had a "Tasting of the Greens" day. Several green food items were brought in by the parents, and each student got a plate that had a tiny bit of each food item on it. Things like spinach, sherbert, jello, pickles, kiwi, spinach, green ranch dressing, etc. According to Ms. Swartz, everyone had to try at least one bite. They went through each food item and would try it as a class, then rate how many students liked that particular item. It was cute to see, and interesting in that every single kid actually obeyed the rule of trying everything. The little siblings played during the food adventure.
L to R: Sam Yoder, Reese Mackey, Marek, and Gabriel Pessoa - Marek's little buddies.
Do they look reluctant, or what?
With Grant in the photo now, too...
The cool thing? Ellison liked spinach with green ranch dressing! Kicking myself as I write this, because do you think I've actually bought any since then? Grrr.
After leaving the classroom, Marek wanted to go up and down the stairs to the modulars. I love him in that little jacket...
Mason and Laila came over for a playdate after school that day.
