Oh, the long-anticipated day had finally arrived!!! Ellison was about ready to jump out of her skin with excitement over this Disney trip Grandma & Papa were taking her on. As hard as it was for us to have her go to experience a place like that for the first time (without us there to savor the moments and the magic), we were so thrilled for her to have such a special trip with her grandparents. She is so blessed to have grandparents that she is close to, that are able to do things like this with her. What incredible memories this trip would make...
Getting ready to head out to the airport...
Airports are places of fun for our kids - they both just want to ride up and down the escalators over and over. And over. So that's what we did while G & P checked the baggage.
Does this girl look sad to leave her family behind?
They finally arrived in Orlando. Grandma said as soon as they got to their hotel room, Ellison ripped open her luggage and immediately started changing into her Disney princess dress. :-)
From what I hear, after they ate dinner, they took a bus ride or taxi ride over to Animal Kingdom. When they arrived, the gates had closed ONE MINUTE BEFORE! They were so tired out from traveling, and very frustrated. They then had to wait about an hour and a half to catch a bus back to the hotel in the chilly evening. Not off to a good start! But Mom said you would've thought it was just part of the adventure as far as Ellison was concerned. :-)
