We were having one of "those" mornings in our house, but nonetheless had a fun day planned meeting our friends, the Ballies, at the Natural Science Center. We had perfect weather for it. This marked Marek's first time there. We used to come here all the time, but I don't think we've been in a year-and-a-half. Ellison and Natalie are both around same age and will both be going to kindergarten at Cornerstone Academy in the fall. They seemed to get along great, and had lots of fun.
Natalie and Ellison, checking out the wandering turkey.
Marek and Naomi were both confined to their strollers outside for the most part. No easy task, at least for us. ;-)

The peacock's feathers were opened right up this time. Beautiful!
Marek went right up to the goats and touched them. He thought it was funny.
I was praying to God he wouldn't find a "hole" to stick his finger in...
He looks like a little farm boy here...
Poor Kelly spotted Naomi playing with the little poop pellets! Yikes! You have to laugh.
Of course the visit wouldn't be complete without hitting the Kid Zone.
Marek had so much fun in the little "house". He loved it in there.
Our friends had to leave a little early, but we hung out for just a bit longer. Marek discovered the boat with the steering wheel. He LOVES steering wheels. On anything.
One little birdie was trying to fly the nest...
Then a quick trip to Harris Teeter. Love my bugs.
