As I was busily packing the day before leaving for my women's retreat in Myrtle Beach, Ellison presented me with a little gift box. She had been in the spare bedroom, and I had noticed she got out the gift wrap box from under the bed. I had no idea what she was doing, just assumed she was wrapping one of her stuffed animals again or something. My heart melted when I saw this:
She wrote a heart with her name on the box, placed a bow on it, and I opened to this:
"It's so you can carry this with you and think of us when you are away."
Hand me the box of tissues, please. I love you so much, my Bug!
That heart lives in my wallet, and gives me a deep, warm smile whenever I spot it.
