This happens to be one of Marek's favorite places to hang out - the broom closet downstairs. He just has a thing for the brooms and Swiffer and such. If he sees me open that door to get something out, then close it, he has a fit! I think he secretly likes to gaze at the vacuum, too. It's a special place...
Since we had such a busy day on his actual birthday, and there wasn't a time that we were all together again besides morning, we opened up some birthday presents the day after his birthday. Marek was still sick, and still running fevers up to 104, but it was just a viral syndrome. While he was medicated, we took advantage and tried to at least do a little celebrating.
Ellison was more excited about this - she's been asking for the Gyro Bowl every time she sees the commercial or sees it in the store.
Sissy assisted our little sickie with his gift opening.
Doesn't he just look pitiful? :-(
Even Ellison scored in the gift department. Grandma & Papa sent her her first Lego sets, because she loved trying out Lucas' in Michigan, and the names of the Lego girls happened to be Andrea, Emma, and Olivia - just like her aunt and cousins. :-) Oh my - this girl is addicted! She really does a great job following the instructions and assembling the sets with only minimal help. I was impressed with her spacial skills. She never left the kitchen island for 2 days except to perform her activities of daily living. Her collection has since grown.
