Update

So the past 2 mornings Marek's respiratory rate has been 90-100.  Really bad.  To the point where he stopped playing and just layed down while I was getting his breathing treatment set up.  Still absolutely no improvement.  I've had to get a little forceful with the Asthma/Allergy specialist, and so we're having some testing done on Friday.  But our pediatrician wanted to see us again this morning.  Thankfully, Marek's sats are maintaining pretty well, but clearly he's still retracting with breathing that is too fast.  He still has some wheezing, despite the breathing treatments, and his lungs still sound junky.  The doctor said she's going to get him in to a pediatric pulmonologist through Baptist as soon as possible, because he now needs a full work-up to get to the bottom of this.  She said it's not asthma, and more steroids aren't going to make any bit of difference.  He's tolerating all of this so well that she's not going to put him in the hospital since he just needs testing at this point (not IVs and supplemental oxygen), but told me if he struggles really bad to where he needs to go in, to just go to Baptist now since he needs pediatric specialists.  Oh me, this is so frustrating...  going into our 4th week of this with no improvement... and he's SUCH a good baby with all of this going on!!!
