Wow, it has been a LONG time coming. It's been almost 2 years since we were last in Buffalo, and even then we were only there for 1.5 days! LONG over due! We were all so excited to be heading out to visit the fam in NY. We were just praying Marek would be as good of a little traveler as Ellison always was.
Ready for take-off. And for the record, Ellison is not growing something on her upper lip, it just happened to be the shadow from the overhead light (that she thought was cool to have on).
Bubby on his very first plane ride! We were both holding our breath - he learned to crawl a few weeks prior, which could've spelled disaster since we needed to confine him.
They both did great on the plane. Smooth sailing. Er, flying.
Upon arrival in Buffalo, Titi Ana told us that Abuela was in the hospital again. :-( She was SO upset that she wasn't seeing the kids right away. So it was sad not seeing her at home when we got there, but knew she'd be getting out soon, possibly even that day. But we got to see Abuelo, Titi Ana, and Titi Marie. :-)
I guess Ellison wanted to document the travels of Tiger and Teddy along the way...
I love this pic of Titi Ana and Marek laughing at something.
We got to see the kids' cousin, Marcos, too. He and Ellison were so little last time! These two played together a lot, and fought a lot. :-) It was like a love-hate relationship - one minute they're having fun, the next minute, "He's not my best friend anymore!" (amidst tears). Seriously, they bickered like cats and dogs most of the time. Ellison was often telling Marcos, "I need some alone time." She'd be sitting on my lap, and he would come along and want to join us, so I'd put each of them on each of my legs, she would scootch away because he was all up in her grill, then he'd look at her and move closer, and so on, until I was being referee again. It'll be funny to see how they are with each other as they get older...
While Ana watched the kids, Jonny and I went up to go see Mami in the hospital.
