And the Crazy Continues

So after our guests left, we continued on with more summer busy-ness.  Some of it fun, some of it not fun at all.  When Marek had his well-check on July 25, we squeezed an appointment in for Ellison, too, since she started saying her ears sounded plugged, and the day before that her ears hurt (but only when we asked her).  No fever or anything.  Turns out Little Miss had yet another double ear infection.  A bad one, with the left being the worst again.  This seems to be a theme for poor Mookie almost every other month since December.  The last time she had one, Dr. Vapne said, "One more and she needs to see and ENT doc".  This time Dr. Dees saw her and said, "Let's give it one more shot (no pun intended).  They are at least a couple of months apart each time."  We're amazed that the poor girl just doesn't complain about it.  At any rate, she had to miss out on her friend Isabella's birthday party that very same day.

On a fun note, Friday we got a lovely visit from Mollie and Miss Maggie to celebrate my impending doom... er, birthday.  My foyer held such a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and I received a card and a book I am VERY excited about, "Don't Make Me Count to Three!".  I'm loving it!  Thanks, Mol!  Then later we got to go to Laila's birthday party at their pool.  Thankfully, Ellison had 5 days of antibiotics in by then, and we got the green light for her to swim as long as she was pain free and her ears no longer felt plugged.  Let's keep our fingers crossed that we have seen an end to this ear madness.  And again, no birthday party pics to post...
