So we can't believe Marek is able to stand by himself holding onto something! He's actually able do it for a minute or so, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. But I can't believe he's able to do it at 5 1/2 months, the little stinker. He's showing us - those squishy, juicy thighs have some muscles in there somewhere, too. ;-)
"Cheekas" runneth over...
To celebrate the 4th, we went to hang out over at our great friends' house, the Perez family. We had a fabulous, fun day!

At the time of Marek's and my departure, the girls were just getting started on sparklers. They've come a long way since I was a kid!
Jonathan tells me the girls were hugging in excitement of Tony's fireworks display.
Despite the rainstorm, it turned into a beautiful evening. I had the most incredible golden sky to drive home to - the kind that takes your breath away and prompts you to thank God for His splendor. The clouds gave way to a sunset that cast a golden aura upon everything. So cool.

After their fun with fireworks at the house, Jonathan and Ellison joined the gang in walking down the street to watch the fireworks over the lake. Ellison loved them for the first time - last year she was still scared of them. :-)
