Let me back up a little. Forgot my head and actually missed posting something (gasp)! Marek had his 4 month check-up on May 23 and is weighing a whopping 18 lbs 6 oz!!! Still in the 97th percentile for weight, and he's still in the 90th percentile for length at 25 1/2 inches. His little noggin is in the 95th percentile, too. He's just our little tank. :-) It's becoming almost unbearable to lug him around in the infant carrier anymore - makes me think about switching him to a convertible carseat already. He doesn't much love being in it anymore anyways, so it's not making sense to keep him in it at stores and in the stroller. We've found he LOVES to be in the Baby Bjorn facing out - even falls asleep doing so - or he wants to be sitting/laying in the regular seat on the stroller.
So the Dr. Vapne recommended we start solids now, especially since he had been starting to sleep less and less through the night. So that brings me to finally landing this sucker...

Ellison wanted to be the camera girl while I fed him. Despite a funny face at first, he seemed to really like it.
And after having it for a little while now, he LOVES it! The spoonfuls don't come fast enough, and it's the best messy time around. He loves getting his fingers all up in his mouth with the spoon at times, and loves grabbing at the spoon. We're gonna try and tame Daddy this time around so we don't create another child that can't stand being dirty. ;-)
