Marek and I went to Ellison's Easter party at school. Little Bubba hung out in the Baby Bjorn while Mama got a major backache. :-) He loves being in that thing - he was soon fast asleep.
After doing a quick craft and eating (or, if you're Ellison "not eating" is more like it), the kids headed out to the big playground for an Easter egg hunt with the bags that they made earlier in the week.
Once Anna stopped to get sand out of her sandals, Ellison had to follow suit.
Time to dig in...
Late that afternoon Marek was having a rough time. He's had some nasal congestion and a slight cough and low-grade temp, but really has been doing fine. But come dinner time, he was completely inconsolable. He's never been like that a day in his life. After an hour of not being able to console him, I thought we should take him to an urgent care (since of course this was happening on a Friday night) to make sure he didn't have an ear infection. Ellison was immediately devastated as talks went on and BEGGED to come with me, so we figured we'd have a "family night" and go together at the one on Battleground. Ha! I would've gone to my work one, but Ellison was just there the weekend before for fevers over 103 on Saturday. Anyway, after waiting for 1/2 hour, they informed us they wouldn't see him because of his age. ?!?!?! So off to work we went... where he screamed almost the entire 1.5 hrs we were there. While our ears were ringing from the screaming, Ellison was being the biggest stinker. Seriously, she was being very disobedient. We had to threaten her, which then brought her to tears... while M was still screaming because by then it was 2 hours past his bedtime... and we were waiting... Ugh. It was such a stinky night. Both kids were exhausted, Mommy & Daddy were fried. M's ear was a little red, but could've been from the screaming, so we were given a Rx and told to hang on to it to see how he did over the weekend.
