Sewing

As a school project, Ellison had to do a presentation on a colonial job (have I said how much I love Cornerstone?).  She decided she wanted to do sewing, so we brainstormed and she decided she wanted to show the craft of candlewicking, which uses a colonial knot.  I remembered learning to do it from my mom when I was a young girl.  So she decided she wanted to do a tulip pattern.  She picked up candlewicking right away, and really enjoyed doing it.

She was VERY bummed we couldn't possibly whip up a colonial costume for her to wear on the sewing machine (girlfriend must think Mama is much more talented than I really am).  When I explained I couldn't do it, she said, "Well, Daddy could.  He knows how to do everything."  :-)
