Father-Daughter Dance

Months of anticipation went into the arrival of the Father-Daughter Dance that Westover holds every year.  This year would mark the 4th year Ellison and Jonathan had their special night.  Ellison didn't even argue when I told her she would need to take a nap after school.  She was so excited for the festivities to begin!

Getting ready...

Mare-noo traipsing around in Daddy's boots...

Ellison whisking herself away to her room to change into her dress...

Sitting at her vanity applying her lipgloss, while Bubba looks on...

Marek was making "pshshsh, pshshs" noises while pretending to use hairspray...

Our beautiful girl, waiting on Daddy...

The look we get when we tell Marek to "smile" for the camera...

I couldn't capture it well on camera, but this was the look Elli gave when Daddy was seeing her for the first time all dressed up.  She chose to not come down the staircase to her Dad this year.  She walked up to him to give him a big hug. :-)

A handsome little couple for the evening...

Presenting Mookie with her corsage...

I just love the pic of the little nose hole looking on.  Hee hee...

Ellison sneezed a few times after getting her corsage put on - now she says she's allergic to pink roses.  Only the pink ones. :-)

The two of them had a great evening, and danced the night away.  Every year, Jonathan requests the song, "Dance with Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman for the two of them to dance to.  Ellison and a bunch of young ladies all did a train and the whole bit.  Lots o' fun!
