On Ms. Swartz's birthday, a bunch of parents went together to surprise her by decorating the classroom during assembly, and throwing a quick little class party for her. We also presented her and Ms. Funderberg (the assistant between all the K classes) with their Christmas gifts.
Marek wasted no time making himself right at home in the classroom while I helped set-up.
Pretty soon, Reese Mackey joined him, too.
As the class headed into the classroom from morning assembly, we all yelled, "Surprise!".

After singing "Happy Birthday" to Ms. Swartz, a few of us parents then expressed how much we appreciate these two, and then presented them with the cards/money the class went in on.
Ellison with Ms. Swart and Ms. Funderberg. Both AWESOME!!!
