NYE

For New Year's Eve this year, we decided to have a few friends over that didn't happen to have plans.  It was somewhat spur of the moment, but I thought it would be fun to have the kids celebrate, but yet get to go to bed at a decent hour.  We ended up having so much fun!

Gabriel and Marek playing

Little Miss was on cloud nine.  She had so much fun choosing a few decorations/favors for the kids at the Dollar Store.  She was born to be a hostess, let me tell you.  This girl thrives on it.  She organized all the hats and tiaras with the blow-out thingies on the dining table for all of her guests.  She went around to all the front windows and the glass door at the front of the house to write with window markers, "Thank you for coming."

Samuel and Ellison.  We planned on doing a mock countdown for the kids at 8pm.  Daddy had a great idea and set a timer on the TV somehow to countdown the time for us.

Everyone's getting prepped for the big moment...

5...4...3...2...1... Happy New Year!!!  The kids and adults alike thought the confetti shower was the bomb.  Needless to say, we did a countdown a few more times after that. :-)

So much fun!

Sweet Ella Grace's first New Year's Eve

Marek didn't realize what was going on during the initial countdown, so he was kinda standing behind a chair and missed out on the shower.  But he joined in the subsequent ones.  He was just kindof in awe.

Trying so hard to get a photo of all the kids.  Not easy!

Thank you to the Kemps, Pessoas, and Campbells for joining us for some fun!  We will definitely make it an annual event for anyone that doesn't have plans. :-)

And as is par for the course on New Year's Eve in the Soto household, I had to have Jonathan wake me up when the ball dropped for real. :-)
