Well wouldn't you know... so for the second year in a row, we had big plans to celebrate Marek's and Kaden Rodriguez's birthday together since none of us have family in town, and they are only 2 days apart. And for the second year in a row, we had to cancel it due to illness since Marek woke up with a fever!!! Ugh! Couldn't believe it. These winter birthdays just aren't having it in our household. So both boys are into everything and nothing in particular at the same time. So we just decided to do a Cars theme, since they both like "Ka-chow" as we all call it. Mandy was set to get the decorations, and we were bringing the cake. We had our neighbor, Fran, with "Peace. Love, and Flour", bake us a cake, and we were going to put a Lightning McQueen on top of it when we got to the Rodriguezs'. So here we were stuck with a giant cake (which was yummy at least) for the 4 of us. Wouldn't have been a big deal, except we also had another cake being made as we anticipated celebrating with Papi, Nonne, Aunt Jacki, and Uncle Mark on Marek's actual birthday. We were definitely caked out. But we let Marek go ahead and blow out candles as a practice run for the big day anyways.
