Early Celebrating

It's that time!  We had plan to celebrate Ellison's birthday on Sunday with Nonne & Poppe, Uncle Mark & Aunt Jacki, and Grandma & Papa.  The unfortunate part was that Grandma & Papa couldn't celebrate with us after all.  They were scheduled to arrive the day before, but my cousin, Bobby, unexpectedly passed away on Halloween, so they had to attend the funeral.  We missed them, but enjoyed our time celebrating Mookie, nonetheless.

One of the nurses I work with, Bonnie, has a cake business on the side.  I called her last minute to have her make one, and Ellison requested that it have chocolate frosting and a horse theme.  She loved it!

Being silly :-)

She picked out her own animal print candles, and wanted to place them herself.

She also wanted to set the table herself.  I love that she came up with the idea of making namecards for everyone.  Such a little hostess. :-)

Ellison's pickings.

Marek was more obsessed with the candles than anything else, and wanted to repeatedly blow them out.

Uncle Mark (who Marek took one look at this evening and pointed out, "Head").  So Uncle Mark is sometimes affectionately known as "Uncle Head".
