Oh. My. Word. It is sinful how much all of our kids got this Christmas. They were busting at the seams waiting for the gift opening to begin.
Someone decided gift opening would happen youngest to oldest. Yes, we have every gift opened one at a time.
Miss Emma
Lego Lucas (that should be his nickname) - every time we went to take his pic, he would make this face. :-)
Miss Olivia
Lucas opening his gift from Ellison - the one she chose for him at the dollar store all by herself. She was so funny - whenever it was someone's turn to open her gift, she would come and stand close to them, and repeat, "You're going to love it!"
It was some kind of monster-like figurine. :-)
A hug for Ellison
A hug from Emma - thanking Ellison for the unicorn puzzle she chose for her.
No, the lava lamp wasn't from Ellison. :-)
Everyone cracked up at Papa's gift from Ellison - 3 pairs of fake teeth "because Papa is always joking". If only she knew Papa's backstory...
For Grandma, Ellison got her a long string of foil leaf garland. When she saw it in the store, she thought the "wreath" would be perfect for Grandma. When I explained that it was garland just wrapped up in a circle, she said, "Or she could keep it like that and hang it on the doorknob." Ever our creative one. :-) For Olivia, she got her a mermaid board book.
I forgot to mention that poor little Bubba missed out on all the gift chaos. But I didn't want the kids to have to stifle their excitement any longer, so we decided Marek would open his gifts after his nap. But first, he awoke to eating up some of Grandma's London Broil - he loved it!
