So in the middle of August, my dad told me to look for plane tickets so he could surprise my mom with a last-minute weekend getaway to come and see the kids because she was missing them. Well, he ended up telling her about it, so we were on the lookout for them to come soon. We all decided to not tell Ellison about it so we could surprise her again. She was completely unsuspecting. And thankfully, she's at the age she is, so she didn't question me too much when I told her we needed to go to the airport to pick up a package for Daddy's work. She just said she didn't want to go. :-) I was ridiculous in my detail, even making Jonathan call me that morning with the fake request. So Marek, Ellison, and I headed on over to PTIA to pick up the "package". It just so happened to be during Jonathan's lunch hour, so he met us at the airport while we waited for their arrival. When they started walking toward us down the corridor, we had Ellison occupied with Marek around the corner where she couldn't see them.
This, by the way, is how Ellison kisses Marek. It's an open-mouth plant, then she applies a little suction so her cheeks cave in, then she pulls away. And it's always gotta be on his right "cheeka".
So anyways, from around the corner Grandma & Papa pop out in front of Ellison. She looked at Gram and says, "Hi Gram," just as if she sees her every single day of her life. Then it finally hits her, she gets a big grin and goes into Gram's arms, telling Gram how much she missed her. It was very sweet. :-)
Marek immediately became enthralled with Papa's goatee.

Ellison wasted no time roping in Gram to play with her. She was CONSTANTLY on Gram to play with her. I kept thinking poor Marek won't get to know her much! But he did somehow manage to get some in.
Going for that facial hair again.
