After a full year of refusing to wear Mama's favorite dress-up dress that Grandma got her, Ellison for some reason finally gave in and donned the sucker. It comes with a beautiful little bolero jacket thingy and a fancy sash, too, but she wasn't going for those. It happens to have a hoop skirt, which she calls a "basket". :-) The reason she wouldn't wear it all this time? It would get sparklies all over her skin. I always thought that was a good thing when you have a princess on your hands. But our Ellison can't stand to be left dirty. Anyways, seems Elli is turning over some new leaves this year. First, she tried pizza when we were at the beach (I went out and played a lottery ticket when this happened), she finally threw caution to the wind and wore a dress that sheds sparklies, she learned to pump her legs and swing without being pushed, and as you'll find in an upcoming post, she has made MAJOR strides in the pool! We did attempt to remove training wheels from her bike, but she was not having any of that when she felt how wobbly it is. :-) So proud of you, Ell!
